“War, what is it good for…
absolutely nothin…say it again…”

Edwin Starr got it right when he passionately sang those lyrics originally written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong for the Motown label and first sung by The Temptations. Edwin’s version of the song, “War,” is one of the most popular protest songs ever recorded, and was #1 on the Billboard Pop Singles Chart for three weeks in the summer of 1970.

Here we are, nearly 52 years since this song first hit the airwaves, still living in a world that is riddled with a thirst for power and control; astonishingly and abhorrently still suffering at the hands of those who are willing to lay waste to millions of lives to accomplish, well, absolutely nothing.

Dr. Wayne Dyer once said, “When you live on a round planet, there’s no choosing sides.”
I believe that war is inarguably humanity’s most significant demonstration of choosing sides. While we have the word “Separation” in our name, the name Six Beats Of Separation® actually stands to emphasize how truly connected we are!
We are all six heartbeats away from connecting with any and everyone, from the moment we decide to share to the moment what we share is received. It takes just six heartbeats, and via sharing, we are drawn together, and together we can accomplish anything.
There’s a quote by Queen Rania of Jordan that is always in the back of my mind: “We are stronger when we listen and smarter when we share.”

“When you live on a round planet, there’s no choosing sides.”
— Dr. Wayne Dyer

While those in power continue to fail in understanding the magnitude of truth Jimi Hendrix shared when he said, “When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace,” we must support those who suffer under their separatist mentality, as they blindly chase power and continue to use millions of human lives as pawns in their childish war games.

“When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace. ”
— Jimi Hendrix

While Six Beats Of Separation® has yet to raise all of the (corporate) funding we need to launch officially, we can not sit idly by as millions of people needlessly suffer. When we launch, we hope you will come to know us best for sharing, as celebrities share with us their favorite songs to support their favorite nonprofit organizations.

Right now, we’re sharing with you six viable options to help ease the suffering created by the atrocity of this war. We chose these organizations based on their track records, impact, and ability to provide immediate assistance.
As always, we implore you to explore organizations whose missions serve the world we live in.
At Six Beats Of Separation, we aim to create a history of “amplifying” such missions.
For now, we hope this ‘EP’ length list will help soften the harsh blows of this unnecessary war.
Stay tuned…

With Gratitude,
Jason Joseph
